I'm a plein air landscape painter and take a lot of reference photos to work from in the studio during the winter. This blog is to share some of the best ones with you. These photographs can be purchased on line at Fine Art America, giclee prints on fine art paper or on stretched canvas. Framed or unframed. Click on the Fine Art America logo over in the righthand side bar to get to my page on their website.

Two Lights (East), Cape Elizabeth Maine

Love this view of Two Lights (East). There are two lights at Two Lights!!!! Imagine that. The western light is privately owned and very difficult to photograph. These 2 beacons stand at the entrance to Casco Bay. This image is available as a print or card online at Fine Art America

Pemaquid Light Bell House 1

Love this image of the Bell House at Pemaquid. Imagine hearing that bell as you were approaching the United States mainland after a long cross Atlantic journey. Prints and cards of this image are available online at Fine Art America

Portland Head Light

The idea of this blog is to post some more unusual views of places in Maine. This is a view of Portland Head Light that most people ignore. I love the shapes and angles of these buildings.
Prints of this image are available online at Fine Art America

Hendricks Head Lighthouse, Southport, Maine

I'll start with a few lighthouse pictures. I love lighthouses and am always drawn to photograph them whenever I see them. I don't paint lighthouses as a rule, but I love the photos. This one is at the Hendricks Head Beach in Southport. Very special place. You can purchase this photograph on the internet from Fine Art America. The quality is fine art quality and the framing excellent. Link is over in the side bar on the right.
